WVU Women’s Basketball added senior center Khyala Ngodu, per a post on social media. She spent three seasons at the University of Central Florida and will have one year of eligibility remaining.
During the 2025-26 season, Ngodu averaged 10.8 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.5 steals in 27 games. Of the 27 games played, she started in 24 of them. Against WVU on Feb. 25, Ngodu scored 21 points and grabbed nine rebounds in a 74-62 defeat.
Her 10.8 points per game ranked second on the squad behind guard Leah Harmon (15.7). Ngodu was also named to the All-Big 12 Team as an honorable mention.
Against the University of Houston, Ngodu became the only NCAA player to score 20+ points, record 10+ rebounds, 4+ steals and 4+ blocks in a 72-62 victory. Ngodu also collected three 20-point double-doubles, becoming one of four players in the Big 12 Conference to have achieved at least three or more and one of 27 in Power Four. She was one of 15 players in the conference to have five or more double-doubles.
Ngodu joins guard/forward Zahirah “ZaZa” Walton and forward Divine Tumba Tshibuabua as a part of the 2026 transfer class.
