The Golden State Warriors battle the Phoenix Suns for the eighth seed in the NBA’s Western Conference playoffs at 7 p.m. PT Friday at Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix. The game will be shown exclusively on Amazon Prime.
The Warriors are coming off a vintage performance from Steph Curry and Draymond Green to beat the Clippers and earn a spot in Friday’s game. Curry had 35 points, including several huge 3-pointers late in the game to secure the win.
Steve Kerr compared the win to the Warriors’ heyday as champions, as Curry’s offensive brilliance, Green’s shutdown defense and some timely shooting from Al Horford took Golden State over the top.
The winner of Friday’s game will face a quick turnaround before Game 1 of a playoff series against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday afternoon. For the loser, the season is over.
