Former PBA star Jimmy Alapag announced his departure from the Sacramento Kings, having served as its development coach of the NBA team for the past three years.

Alapag confirmed the news on his Instagram page on Wednesday.

“My time here is up… Grateful for all the love shown to my family and me. What was once a dream to coach in the NBA became a reality in Sacramento,” he wrote.

“Thankful for all the amazing experiences, the lessons, the growth and most importantly the time spent with some of the best people/fans in the NBA,” Alapag added.

A six-time champion in the PBA, Alapag also served as an assistant coach for the Kings’ G-League affiliate in Stockton from 2021 to 2023.
