INDEPENDENCE — The Cavaliers will again fall one player short of being at full health.

Cavs forward Thomas Bryant has been ruled out for Game 2 of the first-round playoff series against the Toronto Raptors, according to the official injury report update provided by both teams. Bryant also missed Game 1, which the Cavs won 126-113, with a left calf strain.

Coach Kenny Atkinson noted that Bryant has been trending in the right direction, but it’s official that he won’t be available for Game 2 in Cleveland April 20.

Atkinson also noted that guard Sam Merrill has had a hand situation that doesn’t appear to be a concern, as it’s just something that’s been moderately bothering him for a while. Merrill isn’t on the injury report and is expected to play.

The Raptors, meanwhile, have listed starting guard Immanuel Quickley, who also missed Game 1, as questionable for Game 2 with a hamstring strain.
