After a thrilling game with four ties and six lead changes in the first half alone, the New York Knicks expanded the margin in Quarter 3 to clinch a game one victory.

With the No. 6 seed Hawks proving they can hang with the No. 3 seed Knicks, Game 2 may be more of the same back-and-forth action.

Each of the Knicks’ starters managed double figures in Game 1, with Jalen Brunson leading the way at 28. Josh Hart also managed a double-double, dropping 11 points and 14 rebounds to boot. The bench managed 20 points of their own in the contest, making the final victory a collective effort.

The Hawks had four reliable scoring options in game one, who took the brunt of the scoring. CJ McCollum lead the way with 26 points while Jalen Johnson followed shortly behind with 23. The bench managed just 13 points, with Jonathan Kuminga providing 8 of them.
