The Knicks opened their first-round playoff series with a 113-102 win over the Hawks on Saturday at Madison Square Garden, but there was a brief scare during the game.
Anunoby appeared to roll his left ankle after an awkward fall, briefly quieting the crowd. He stayed on the floor for a few moments before slowly walking back to the bench.
After the game, Anunoby downplayed the injury, saying, “It’s OK. I just rolled it. It just happened.”
He finished Game 1 with 18 points and eight rebounds in 38 minutes.
The third-seeded Knicks will host Game 2 on Monday night.
