SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — The Utah Jazz won a tiebreaker against the Sacramento Kings, avoiding the possibility of sending a first-round pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
According to the NBA’s announcement, Utah (22-60) won the tiebreaker over Sacramento to secure the fourth-best odds in next month’s lottery drawing.
The Jazz now have an 11.5% chance of landing the No. 1 overall pick. The Brooklyn Nets, Indiana Pacers and Washington Wizards are tied for the best odds at 14%.

The 2026 lottery will determine the first four selections, with the remaining picks ordered by regular-season record.
The NBA draft lottery is scheduled for May 10. The first round of the NBA draft will be held June 23.
