Kevin Durant, who received treatment for an injured ankle and did not join the Rockets bench in Game 3, remains uncertain for Game 4.
With the Houston Rockets now on the brink of a brutal elimination in the 2026 NBA Playoffs, everyone began wondering about Kevin Durant’s whereabouts.

During the team’s 112-108 overtime loss in Game 3 against the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday, reports circulated that Durant was nowhere to be found for Houston.
His presence was nonexistent on the Rockets’ bench throughout the Friday game.
Apparently, according to head coach Ime Udoka in the postgame, Durant was getting treatment for his ankle, causing the superstar not to join the team for the entire Game 3.
Durant was ruled out by the Rockets with his left ankle sprain, which he sustained in the team’s past Game 2 loss.
As far as Durant’s Game 4 status against the Lakers on Sunday with their season on the line, Udoka admitted that the 37-year-old is uncertain to play but made key recovery progress in the past couple of days.
“Up in the air,” the Rockets coach told reporters. “I think we made some progress in the last few days, but we’ll see how that happens, you know, with only one day in between.”
