Unfortunately for the Wolves, they’ll be without their star guard for the critical contest.
Anthony Edwards out for Game 5 vs. Nuggets due to left knee injury
Anthony Edwards has been ruled out of Game 5 against Denver due to a knee injury he suffered in Game 4. The injury is expected to keep him sidelined for the foreseeable future.
In addition to Edwards, the Wolves will also be without starting guard Donte DiVincenzo for the rest of the postseason due to a torn Achilles he suffered in Game 4.
With their starting backcourt sidelined for the game, guys like Ayo Dosunmu and Bones Hyland will likely see their roles increase exponentially.

If the Wolves are ultimately able to advance past the Nuggets despite their injury issues, they would play the winner of the series between the San Antonio Spurs and Portland Trail Blazers in the second round.
