The NCAA Men’s Volleyball Regional Round was held on Saturday as Hawaii hosted USC for a chance to advance to the semifinals.

Hawaii and USC battled it out throughout the match as it went into 4 sets and saw the largest margin of victory just 3 points.

In the 1st set, UH won 25-22. Both squads tallied 12 kills each but the ‘Bows with 2 service aces and 5.5 blocks to help seal the win.

Over in the 2nd set, only 2 ties and Hawaii never once led. The Trojans took the 2nd 26-24. UH With 15 kills to USC’s 13 but 6 ‘Bows service errors.

Now to the 3rd set, the frame with the most lead changes (10) and ties (19). This frame was back and forth but it was Hawaii who held on late to win 25-23. The ‘Bows with just 11 kills to the Trojans 13 but Hawaii fewer errors.

The 4th set needed 32 points to crown a winner as Hawaii won 32-30. UH outkilled USC 23-13 and the ‘Bows had 5 service aces. Despite no blocks at the net for UH and 12 service errors, Hawaii held on late to punch their ticket to the NCAA Semifinals.
