RJ Barrett wants to spend rest of career with Raptors
If Barrett gets his way, he’ll sign an extension and eliminate any questions about his future, as Canadian native made it clear that he wants to remain a Raptor for the rest of his career.
“This is an easier question for me to answer because I’m from here, and who doesn’t want to play at home? So, of course, I’m trying to stay here,” Barrett said of his NBA future.
“I understand the business, but I want to stay here. I don’t have any problems saying that. I want to be here for the rest of my career. I don’t want to leave. I don’t have any problems openly saying that. I’ve done my part on the court this year, and I will continue to do my part, so let’s hope things work out that way.”

Barrett is coming off of a very solid season for the Raptors where he averaged 19.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists per performance. He also hit an epic game-winner against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round of the playoffs that Raptors fans won’t soon forget, despite the ultimate outcome of the series.
