Shams Charania from ESPN reports just in, Philadelphia star Joel Embiid has been ruled out for game two tonight against the New York Knicks- Oh due to ankle and hip injuries.

what?

Where did this come from?

Correct.

What?

Yeah.

So- Well, well, okay.

So, so hold on, hold on.

I know you’re being a little facetious.

You know, you’re, you know, you’re being a little egregious Phil Binover here.

But we do know that Embiid, picked up the knock in the, his knee at the end of game seven against the Celtics.

He was r- listed as probable for game one with a right hip bruise, and then was shifted yesterday to probable with a right ankle sprain or, or strain, I believe.

And so now I guess the aggregate, impact of those leg injuries rules him out for game two.

But man, yeah, like, not, not that you needed more Joel Embiid injury issues in the playoffs, ’cause, Lord knows we’ve seen a fair amount of that.

Yeah.

This, this is a big bummer for the 76ers, obviously.

the story was what a, what a return, what a he- heroic return for Joel Embiid after the appendicitis, comes in and beats the Boston Celtics and saves the season.

And then here he is in game two, after that drubbing, and we went into detail about how bad the, the defense was, or the shot-making for the Knicks was, and a lot of that was they were taking, taking Joel Embiid.

what the defense gave them was not very good defense from Joel Embiid and not very mobile, and now Embiid is out for game two.

Before this season, the series started, I picked the Knicks in seven, and part of my analysis was it looks good, the Sixers look good after the, the Boston Celtics series, but can we really expect Joel Embiid to stay healthy for a seven-game series against the New York Knicks, considering the fact that he has missed playoff games in four out of the last five playoff series, Joel Embiid?

And now that number turns to five out of the last series Joel Embiid has missed games due to injury.

it’s devastating.
