It’s going to be a bright and sunny weekend in Los Angeles, and while it’s a big sports weekend, there’s plenty of other activities going on for the whole family.

Sports

Luka Doncic remains out, but the rest of the Lakers will get the backing of a rowdy arena as they seek to avoid a 3-0 hole.

Top-seeded UCLA may have fallen in the quarterfinals, but two Southern California teams remain active in the chase for a national championship..

On Saturday afternoon, Ball State will first face UC Irvine — the squad that downed the Bruins — at 3:30, then Long Beach State will face Hawaii.

The winners of these two matches face off in the National Championship Game at 4 p.m. Monday, also at Pauley Pavilion.

Angel City FC is taking on Southern California rivals San Diego Wave FC on Saturday.

The game is a black out, meaning fans should “wear your black as we take on our SoCal rival, the San Diego Wave,” the team said.

In addition, Fan Fest starts at 2 p.m., and there will be a performance by Ritmo Del Sol.

The match also features a giveaway of a collectible pin for the first 5,000 fans.

LA County Fair

The LA County Fair includes fun rides, delicious food, concerts, livestock and so much more.

The Los Angeles County Fair is back!

The festivities began Thursday and continue through the end of May, welcoming about 750,000 visitors each year.

Highlights include a carnival, concerts, farm animals, shopping and much, much more.

Smorgasburg offers “provides a platform for nearly 100 small businesses curated from the next wave of SoCal’s food, beverage and shopping scene. With a family friendly beer garden and more it is the perfect place to spend a day with friends, family, or colleagues,” the event said on its website.

Admission is free, but pets aren’t allowed.
