Potential top overall pick AJ Dybantsa is convinced enough about meshing up with a young and talented Wizards team led by Anthony Davis and Trae Young.

AJ Dybantsa isn’t denying the promise of how he will complement the Washington Wizards should the franchise pick him for the No. 1 pick of the 2026 NBA Draft.

Amid recent reports that he would have loved to stay and play in Utah, the potential top overall prospect stands compelled about how the current Wizards team is built for him to join.

“Obviously, they have an All-Star point guard in Trae Young and an All-Star five-man in Anthony Davis. They have Tre Johnson. … They have Bub Carrington. I met Kyshawn George one time, but I think it’ll just be a good young core,” he told reporters Wednesday.

“I can fit in and really just play fast.”

The Wizards won the lottery and have the No. 1 pick of this year’s draft, and they have a golden opportunity to land arguably the most talented young prospect in this year’s class in Dybantsa.

Dybantsa, who led the nation in scoring with 25.5 points, will certainly be a key centerpiece for a Washington squad that is about to go for a take-off next year, headlined by the All-Star duo of Anthony Davis and Trae Young.

Should the Wizards ultimately pick Dybantsa, sky’s the only limit for the team to succeed and thrive in the long run.
