As the NBA Combine comes to a close over the next couple of days in Chicago, there are a few names who could return to college and opt out of the draft pool. One of those who is firmly headed to the league is Duke’s Isaiah Evans.

The former Blue Devils standout guard made his intentions clear this week.
“I’m fully in,” Evans told ESPN’s Jeff Borzello. He added he’s had no conversations with Duke about a return.

There was no expectation Evans would be headed back to school, but this shut the door for good. Evans averaged 15.0 points and 3.2 rebounds last season at Duke. Despite not being a first-round lock in the 2026 NBA Draft, he’ll try his luck next month.

The current mock draft by Yahoo Sports’ Kevin O’Connor has Evans going No. 30 overall to the Dallas Mavericks. This would reunite him with former Duke star Cooper Flagg at the next step of his basketball career. Other outlets have Evans going anywhere from No. 22 to Philadelphia to early in the second round at No. 40 to Boston.
