The Portland Trail Blazers laid off dozens of employees on Tuesday, including roughly a quarter of the team’s business staff. The layoffs followed a change in ownership, with new ownership group members Andrew Cherng, Sheel Tyle and Tom Dundon taking over. Team sources said just over 70 people were affected, and the cuts reached both business and basketball operations. The Blazers had roughly 215 employees on the business side and about 390 in total before the layoffs.
