The Suns and Mercury officially launched their concurrent direct-to-consumer product Friday, with the unveiling of the Arizona’s Family Sports streaming app.

At the same time Suns and Mercury owner Mat Ishbia was extending the teams’ linear package through 2030 with Arizona’s Family Channel 3, his staff had been collaborating with Gray-owned Arizona’s Family to create a digital platform to house both Suns+ and Merc+ — the first NBA and WNBA teams to appear side by side on a single DTC product.

The result is the Arizona’s Family Sports app, as Ishbia tries to upgrade a Suns and Mercury streaming service that has driven only sporadic revenue. Last season, Suns+ accounted for only 10% of Suns viewership across Arizona.

According to the Suns and Mercury, ViewLift will be the tech partner for the Arizona’s Family Sports App — replacing Kiswe, which had supported Suns+ and Merc+ since 2023. The deal was handled in-house.

Starting immediately, the new app will stream all non-national Mercury live games, pregame and postgame shows and provide exclusive interviews, behind-the-scenes content and other original programming. Suns+, the Valley Suns and Phoenix Rising FC — and content surrounding those teams — will join the app in the coming weeks.
