People leaving Scottie off the ballot altogether is insane to me.
That is, that is what I can’t get to.
I, I actually, I just wanna set the All-NBA stuff alone for a minute, ’cause I do think, like, there was the cold end to the season for him as kind of a scorer that kinda hurt him compared to how deep the class was, but, like, he still very much had a case for All-NBA third team.
I genuinely just want to have conversations with voters that just did not have Scottie on their main ballot.
That’s probably the one that upset me more than anything.
‘Cause in what world Like, he had If you want event creation, Scottie had that.

If you want defensive versatility, you got that.
If you just want size on the back line, he has that.
The Raptors were a top 10 defense and were flirting around with a top five defensive rating for large chunks of the season, and this is after the weird start that we talked about back in October on the podcast.
How do you get to Scottie was not a top 10 defender this year?
Forget the first team or second team argument for a moment.
How do you leave him off of a ballot?
I think that opens up some very, some understandable concerns for, like, Raptor fans, where it’s like, who– are, are the voters watching our team type thing.

Because that is the kind of vote, or lack thereof, that signals you did not pay enough attention to what the Toronto Raptors were doing.
And I understand with how muggy the offense could get sometimes for the team, like, it wasn’t always the most fun watch.
That defense was insane.
What Scottie Barnes was asked to do was insane, and he was incredibly good.
I don’t get to how he was not a top 10 defender for people.
