Louisville to open Players Era Festival against Texas Tech

Pat Kelsey’s Louisville Cardinals will face Texas Tech in the first game of the Players Era Festival on Tuesday, Nov. 24 in Las Vegas.

A win over the Red Raiders could set up a Thanksgiving showdown against St. John’s and former U of L head coach Rick Pitino.

Louisville is 0-2 all-time against Texas Tech, with both losses coming in early season play. In December of 2019, Chris Mack’s top-ranked Cardinals fell to the Red Raiders by 13 (70-57) in New York. Three years later, Kenny Payne’s first U of L team was embarrassed (70-38) by Tech at the Maui Invitational.

Ticket information, game times, television assignments and more details will all be announced at a later date. Over the course of two weeks, all 37 games of the Players Era will be broadcasted on ESPN networks.
