Court documents obtained by TMZ have revealed that Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards earns approximately $3.36 million in gross monthly income. Edwards’ earnings came to light through family court proceedings involving Alexandria Desroches, one of the mothers of his children.
The filings confirmed that Desroches earns roughly $1,016 per month and that Edwards currently pays her approximately $5,000 per month in child support for their child, born in October 2023. For the first time, the disclosure provides a clear picture of the financial stakes in Edwards’ multiple active child support cases.

In 2023, Edwards signed a five-year contract extension worth $244.6 million in guaranteed money, with the potential to reach $260 million if Edwards earns All-NBA status, making him the highest-paid player in the Timberwolves franchise history. Edwards was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves.
He has earned four consecutive NBA All-Star selections from 2023 through 2026 and won the All-Star Game MVP in 2026. The San Antonio Spurs eliminated the Timberwolves in the 2026 Western Conference Semifinals in six games.
At 24 years old, Edwards has put together a commercial profile through national advertising campaigns, endorsement deals, and social media visibility, including a signature shoe deal with Adidas.
The Ayesha Howard Dispute

Separate from the Desroches case, Edwards is involved in a child support dispute with Ayesha Howard, the mother of his daughter, Aubri, born in October 2024. The two sides are fighting over which state gets to decide child support, California or Georgia.
Edwards wants the case handled in Georgia, while Howard has pushed for proceedings in California, the state where she and Aubri live. A California judge previously ruled the state lacked jurisdiction over Edwards, and a Georgia judge has ruled that child support for Aubri will be handled in Georgia.
Howard has continued to contest the California ruling. In a written court declaration, Edwards stated, “I am not seeking child custody or visitation of Aubri. Therefore, the only issues to be resolved are financial in nature.”

The Legal Arguments

Howard has accused Edwards of intentionally concealing California-based financial assets to contest California’s authority over the child support matter. Howard alleged that Edwards holds a business LLC, business trademarks registered in California, and a Beverly Hills bank account.
She argued that he maintained substantial business connections to the state, even though he had previously asserted otherwise under oath. Edwards denied any wrongdoing in the matter, pushing back on Howard’s claims in full.
His legal team characterized many of her filings as meritless and harassing, and accused her of orchestrating a coordinated media campaign to pressure him into a large financial settlement.
In court filings, Edwards’ attorneys stated that “(Ayesha’s) conduct here is unjustifiable and a bad faith attempt to obtain a higher child support order,” adding that “Ayesha’s conduct of manufacturing a false reality and using the parties’ child for financial gains should not be tolerated.”
The Jurisdiction Argument

Howard submitted a declaration from Desroches as part of her California jurisdiction argument. In the declaration, Desroches alleged that Edwards’ support payments to her were wired from a Beverly Hills bank account in Edwards’ name.
Howard pointed to the allegation as proof that Edwards had deeper California financial ties than he had let on, and used it to push her case that California courts were the right venue for the child support matter.
