In recent weeks, the rumored NIL value for Momcilvic was around $7.5-$8 million, but the Wildcats didn’t have to pay nearly that much for the Wisconsin native. As the news broke, On3’s Pete Nakos reported that Momcilovic’s value is just north of $6 million. That report was seconded by KSR’s Matt Jones, who said he heard it would be around $6.5 million.

Momcilovic will still be one of the highest-paid players in college basketball, but it looks like the Wildcats got somewhat of a bargain compared to what some media members were reporting.

The 6-foot-8, Wisconsin native was rumored to be making around $2 million at Iowa State last season, so it’ll be about a $4-4.5 million dollar increase.

This was truly the Wildcats’ biggest win of the offseason, by a long shot. Pope loaded the roster with solid depth, length, and high-motor players, but Momcilovic will be the difference-maker in 2026-27. Coming off a season where he averaged 16.9 points ppg on 50.6% shooting from the field and 48.7% from 3-point range, the Wildcats finally got their guy.
