A teen is in critical condition after an apparent self-inflicted shooting in Chester Tuesday night.
Police and EMS were called at 8:47 p.m. to the 2200 block of West Ninth Street for a shooting. Dispatch notes indicate an 18-year-old was shot in a leg.
Police radio traffic showed officers responded to Memorial Park. There was a discussion involving a weapon found in the trunk of a vehicle across the parking lot.
The victim was rushed to a hospital.
On Wednesday Delaware County District Attorney spokesperson Kelly Wilson said CID was on the scene. The shooting appears to be an accidental discharge/self-inflicted incident.
