The San Antonio Spurs trail the New York Knicks 0-1 in the NBA Finals after surrendering a Game 1 loss on their home court.
The Knicks came into San Antonio’s Frost Bank Center and notched a 105-95 final score over the favored Spurs, extending their historic postseason win streak to 12 games.

The Spurs need to bounce back on Friday night in order to avoid an 0-2 deficit as the series heads to New York’s Madison Square Garden for Game 3 and Game 4.
Charles Barkley predicted the Knicks to win the series in six games before Game 1. But if the Knicks are able to steal another win on the road in Game 2, the NBA Hall of Famer is changing his prediction to a 4-0 sweep for the New York squad.
“If the Knicks win tonight, they’re definitely going to sweep the Spurs,” Barkley said on Friday morning’s episode of “Get Up” on ESPN.

This isn’t the first time the Spurs have had their backs against the wall in the 2026 NBA playoffs.
San Antonio suffered a Game 1 loss at home against the Minnesota Timberwolves in Round 2, ultimately bouncing back to win the series in six games. The Victor Wembanyama-led squad also won back-to-back closeout games against the reigning NBA-champion Oklahoma City Thunder to finish the Western Conference Finals.
