The Chicago Bulls are entering a very compelling offseason in which they will probably be one of the more active teams in the NBA. They are loaded with cap space, own two first-round draft picks and have a new top executive in Bryson Graham who is itching to overhaul the roster.

But will the Bulls actually swing any big moves this summer?

One rumor that has been discussed is Chicago trading up from the No. 4 overall pick in the draft. Some have gone as far to say that the Bulls could target the No. 1 selection, held by the Washington Wizards. Others feel that they may try to move up one spot.

Morris Bankston of Pippen Ain’t Easy falls into the latter category, urging Chicago to move up one spot to No. 3 where the Memphis Grizzlies are currently slated to pick.

What’s more, Bankston thinks the Bulls should try and land Ja Morant in the deal.

Chicago Bulls’ Ja Morant rumors remain constant

This is far from the first time we have heard Morant connected to Chicago over the last several weeks, and it probably won’t be the last, either.

Bankston’s idea features the Bulls sending Josh Giddey and the No. 4 overall selection to the Grizzlies in exchange for Morant, the third pick and future first-round draft compensation. That way, Memphis would be able to get out from under the final two years of Morant’s contract.

Not only that, but the Grizzlies would also be able to land a solid point guard in Giddey on a somewhat team-friendly deal. Bankston added that Chicago should then seek to trade Morant in the final year of his deal to recoup a second-round pick in return.

It’s actually a very clever trade suggestion, and it’s one that both sides might consider (although the price might be a bit steep for Memphis).

The question is, what would the Bulls do with the No. 3 overall pick? Would they stay the course and select Caleb Wilson? Or would they nab the defensively-challenged Cameron Boozer, who probably wouldn’t fit the team as well as Wilson?

I guess Chicago would cross that bridge when it gets there.
