With the NBA Draft less than two weeks away, NBA experts are still debating the top-three picks in the draft. While many expect AJ Dybantsa (BYU) and Darryn Peterson (Kansas) to go first and second overall, there’s an outside chance that Duke star Cameron Boozer could sneak into the top two.
NBA expert Bill Simmons spoke about this possibility recently, as he believes Boozer will be selected second overall by the Utah Jazz.
“I think he’s (Danny Ainge) going to stay away from Peterson, and I could see him taking Boozer at two,” he said. “That would be my bet right now. I might be wrong, but I really think they’re gonna take Boozer. I do. I can’t explain it, but I think they’re gonna take Boozer at two.”
While this may not mean much to some, among NBA media, Simmons has a knack for predictions of this nature, like when he nailed the 2018 NBA Draft. Either way, once June 23 arrives, Boozer and Duke fans will be able to find out his new team together.
