PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The City of Portland is hosting a series of events this weekend asking the public to give their input on possible Moda Center renovations.
Officials said, “The Moda Center is our house – literally. It’s owned by the City of Portland, home to the Portland Trail Blazers and Portland Fire, and it’s the largest arena in Oregon.”
The popular venue not only attracts sports fans but is also a hot spot for concerts and other large entertainment events. The pop-up events give Portlanders the chance to meet with city councilors face-to-face to talk about the renovation.
The following locations were slated to host pop-up events on Saturday, June 13:
Lents Park, noon to 1:30 p.m.
Parklane Park, 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
More pop-up events slated for Sunday, June 14:
Laurelhurst Park, noon to 1:30 p.m.
Sellwood Park, noon to 1:30 p.m.
Tom McCall Waterfront Park – Salmon Street Springs, 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Mt. Scott Park, 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
