PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — According to multiple reports, Tiago Splitter has been named the new head coach of the Chicago Bulls.

Splitter led the Portland Trail Blazers last season after head coach Chauncey Billups was indicted on federal charges related to an illegal poker ring.
Splitter guided the Blazers to the NBA playoffs for the first time in five years.
He was hired as an assistant coach in June 2025 and previously served as head coach of Paris Basketball in France’s top league for one season. He also worked as an assistant coach with the Houston Rockets.
Splitter was a member of the San Antonio Spurs team that won the 2014 NBA championship.
