The city will give away 600 free tickets to the Knicks’ championship ceremony at City Hall, Mayor Zohran Mamdani said Tuesday.

The ceremony will take place at noon on Thursday following a ticker-tape parade, which Mamdani predicted could be “the largest parade in our city’s history.”

The city will notify the 300 winners — each receiving two tickets — after the lottery closes.

The ceremony will celebrate the Knicks’ first NBA Finals win since 1973, featuring “speeches, musical performances and a special presentation honoring the team’s championship season,” the mayor’s office said.

The Knicks belong to New York City. And this championship belongs to the people who waited 53 years for it.

Mamdani will also present the Knicks with keys to the city.

“From packed watch parties in our parks to joyous celebrations that spilled out onto our streets, this championship belongs to New York City,” he said in a statement. “The Knicks brought together New Yorkers from every borough and every walk of life.”

“That’s why we’re making these tickets free and accessible — so working-class people have a chance to be part of this historic moment and celebrate the team that brought a championship home,” he added.
