The Intuit Dome will soon be home to the highly anticipated Team Europe vs. Team World tennis tournament

On Wednesday, Los Angeles was named as the host city for the 10th edition of the Laver Cup in 2027.

The tournament is set to run from September 24-26, 2027, at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.

Sandwiched between the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Laver Cup is aiding Los Angeles in making a name for itself as the hub of international sports.

The Intuit Dome, which opened in 2024 and is home to the Los Angeles Clippers, is one of the world’s, and certainly Los Angeles’s, newest and most innovative sports and entertainment arenas, making it the perfect place to welcome the famed tennis tournament.

The Laver Cup, first held in 2017 in Prague and co-created by Swiss tennis legend Roger Federer, takes six of the top players from Europe and pits them against six of the best players from around the world. In its short run, the Laver Cup has come to be known as one of the most highly anticipated events on the professional tennis calendar.

The tournament features five sessions played over three days, including singles and doubles matches. The first team to reach 13 points earns the win. A comprehensive recap of the rules and specifics of the tournament can be found here.

Teams automatically include the three highest-ranked players from each region based on their ATP singles ranking following Roland-Garros (French Open). The remaining team members are three Team Captain picks and two alternates, which can be announced anytime before the start of the US Open.

Past players have included iconic European players such as Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, and Rafael Nadal, with Nick Kyrgios, Ben Shelton, and Joao Fonseca previously representing Team World.

The tournament’s location alternates each year between Team Europe and Team World. 2027 will mark the fifth time the tournament has been played in North America, despite including players from around the world, notably from South America and Australia.

The 2026 tournament will take place in London at the famous O2 Arena from September 25-27, with Team World hoping to remain victorious against Team Europe after their 2025 win in Vancouver. Representing the United States on Team World so far are Ben Shelton and Taylor Fritz, no. 5 and no. 9 in the ATP singles rankings, respectively.

Tickets for the 2027 tournament are not yet available, but information regarding official ticket sales and travel packages can be expected to be released later this year.Â
