It’s time to go back in time and look at the draft history of the Philadelphia 76ers. There have been a number of selections made by this franchise and now is the time to look at some of those moves and see who they could have picked on those specific nights.

This edition focuses in on the 2013 NBA draft as the Sixers made two early picks on this night. They already held the No. 11 pick, but they began “The Process” era when they sent All-Star Jrue Holiday to the New Orleans Pelicans for the No. 6 pick, which they used to select Kentucky big man Nerlens Noel.

HoopsHype performed a re-draft of 2013 and they have the Sixers selecting big man Steven Adams at No. 6:

The weakness of the 2013 draft can really start to be seen here, with Steven Adams – a fine player but far from a star – going fifth overall in this re-draft. Adams has been a solid big man throughout his career, a well-liked player in the locker room who is great at boxing out and setting screens and can finish around the rim well enough.

HH made a typo error in their explanation of Adams. He went sixth in their re-draft, not fifth. Either way, Adams has put together a solid career with averages of 8.7 points and 8.0 rebounds while being integral pieces of good teams with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Memphis Grizzlies, Houston Rockets, and the Pelicans.
