LINCOLN, Neb (WOWT) – Former Nebraska point guard Sam Hoiberg is reportedly getting an NBA opportunity.
According to The Stein Line NBA insider Jake Fischer, Hoiberg “intends to sign” an undrafted free agent deal with the Phoenix Suns.

Hoiberg led Nebraska to its most successful season in program history, culminating in the school’s first two wins at the NCAA Tournament in March.
Nebraska finished 28-7 and reached the program’s first NCAA Sweet 16, where it lost to Iowa. Hoiberg started all 35 games as a senior, averaging 9.3 points, 4.5 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game on his way to All-Big Ten defensive honors.
He also set a school record in assist-to-turnover ratio (3.74-to-1).
