COLUMBIA, Mo. (KCTV) – Another Missouri Tiger is headed to the Denver Nuggets.
A year removed from former Missouri product Michael Porter Jr. leaving the Nuggets via trade, Mizzou forward Mark Mitchell is on his way to Denver as an undrafted free agent.
Mitchell heads to Denver, a team that is owned by Missouri alum Stan Kroenke, following two seasons in Columbia, where he was a two-time All-SEC selection.
He averaged 18.3 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game for the Tigers after transferring to Dennis Gates’ program following two seasons with Duke. He was the second player in program history to lead the Tigers in all three statistical categories in a season.
The Kansas City, Kansas, native is the sixth Missouri player to sign with an NBA franchise during Dennis Gates’ time at Mizzou.
