LINCOLN – Former Nebraska forward Rienk Mast has agreed to an Exhibit-10 contract with the Indiana Pacers, he announced shortly after the NBA draft concluded. Mast spent three years at NU: one injury redshirt sandwiched between a pair of productive seasons.
An Exhibit-10 contract is essentially a training camp deal that can be converted into a two-way contract. Former Husker Keisei Tominaga signed the same agreement with the Pacers in 2024 and spent the season with their G League affiliate.
The Pacers were among teams Mast worked out in front of in the weeks leading up to the draft. He’s the second Nebraska player to sign with an NBA team this offseason. Sam Hoiberg agreed to a contract with the Phoenix Suns late Thursday night.
Mast’s distinct skill set made him the ideal center in coach Fred Hoiberg’s modern scheme at Nebraska. He took on a greater responsibility in handling the ball and distributing than the typical big man. As a seventh-year senior in 2025-26 he averaged 13.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game while shooting 31.1% from 3-point range. He was an honorable mention All-Big Ten.
Mast missed all of the 2024-25 season while recovering from offseason knee surgery. He had played through pain the year before as Nebraska made the NCAA tournament for the first time in a decade. He began his college career at Bradley.
