Trading card collectors from across the country are gathering at Fiserv Forum this weekend for the Wisconsin Card Show, where Giannis Antetokounmpo cards are commanding sky-high prices after his recent trade to Miami.

Some of Antetokounmpo’s rarest rookie cards are fetching six-figure sums, with one valued at $175,000.

“Giannis cards have gone up this past week,” Michael Sampson, owner of SWARMM Events, said.

Nick Riccoboni, a collector, explained the impact of the trade on the market.

“Giannis going to Miami, that is going to boost his cards a little bit; that market is bigger in Miami,” Riccoboni said.

For collectors, these cards represent more than just memorabilia. They are snapshots of Antetokounmpo’s career, including his rookie season, two MVP titles, and the Bucks’ NBA championship win.

“We still love Giannis, we are always going to love Giannis. He brought us the championship, we wish him well, but yes, his cards are going up, so if you want to sell them right now, it is a good time to do so,” Sampson said.

Milwaukee Bucks President Josh Glessing attended Friday’s card show, where he acknowledged Antetokounmpo’s impact on the city. While he didn’t comment on the trade, he pulled a Giannis card from a pack, calling him a “Milwaukee Bucks legend.”

The Wisconsin Card Show continues through the weekend, with hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Fans will have the chance to buy or sell their Giannis cards during the event.
