AJ Dybantsa‘s NBA debut for the Washington Wizards is expected to happen during the Las Vegas Summer League. The Wizards will face the Utah Jazz, Sacramento Kings, Chicago Bulls, and Los Angeles Clippers as Dybantsa makes his preseason NBA debut.
The first game will be against Darryn Peterson, who was taken No. 2 by the Jazz in the NBA Draft. These two squared off in the Big 12 when BYU faced off against the Kansas Jayhawks. This game earned prime time treatment with its 9 p.m. tip-off on ESPN.
The third game against the Bulls will feature fellow top-five pick Caleb Wilson, who was taken fourth overall. Dybantsa and Wilson are unlikely to match up all that often, given that Dybantsa is a small forward and Wilson is a power forward. However, Dybantsa prides himself on being versatile and matching up against all positions.
Dybantsa spoke to 106.7 The Fans in Washington, D.C, about how he is excited and ready to get on the floor to represent the Washington Wizards.
This set of games will give Wizards and BYU fans the first chance to see Dybantas on the hardwood against talent above what he faced in a Cougars uniform.
