AMES, Iowa — Iowa State guard Tamin Lipsey signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Indiana Pacers following the 2026 NBA Draft. Lipsey joins Joshua Jefferson as the second Cyclone from this year’s draft class to join the NBA. Jefferson was selected in the first round and will join the Brooklyn Nets organization.
Lipsey was a three-time Big 12 All-Defensive Team selection. He averaged 13.5 points, 5.1 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game this season. He also ranked fourth in school history with 77 steals on the year.
He finished his career as the program’s all-time leader in steals with 313. He ranked fourth in assists with 602. His 137 career starts are the most in program history. Lipsey also finished with 98 career wins, the second-most in program history.
Lipsey is expected to play for the Pacers in NBA Summer League in Las Vegas from July 9-19.
