NEW YORK – Thompson alum Chaney Johnson signed a two-way deal with the Brooklyn Nets on Monday, June 29.

The 24-year-old forward appeared in 40 G-League games last season, averaging 13.9 points and 5.8 rebounds in 26.3 minutes per game.

Johnson also appeared in 12 NBA games for Brooklyn, averaging 8.2 points and 4.6 rebounds in 20.5 minutes per game.

Johnson averaged 13.4 points and 4.4 assists per game as a senior at Thompson, before committing to play college basketball at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
