A former Dallas Mavericks big man will reportedly play for another Western Conference team for the 2026-27 season.
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, center Marvin Bagley III has agreed to a one-year deal with the Denver Nuggets. Bagley spent the latter part of the 2025-26 campaign in Dallas, landing with the Mavericks when they traded Anthony Davis to the Washington Wizards.
While Bagley’s stint in Dallas was short, it was productive. He averaged 11 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 22 games with the Mavericks. Bagley stood out with the team, thanks to his ability to put the ball on the floor and shoot the 3.
His floor spacing paired well with Cooper Flagg’s playmaking abilities. The Mavericks will soon get a stretch big in Santi Aldama in a trade with the Memphis Grizzlies.
Now, Bagley will play with his sixth NBA team in Denver. He’ll look to provide solid depth in a frontcourt that includes three-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic.
