Having found a home last season with the Phoenix Suns, Jamaree Bouyea has had his $2.58 million non-guaranteed team option exercised by the franchise.
Prior to sticking with Phoenix, the 6-foot-2 former Palma High product had bounced back and forth between the NBA and G-League for two years, dominating G-League competition.
A native of Seaside, Bouyea had previously spent time with the Miami Heat, Washington Wizards, Portland Trail Blazers, San Antonio Spurs and Milwaukee Bucks.
Serving as a backup point guard off the bench, the 27-year-old Bouyea averaged 5.7 points, while shooting 45.8 percent from the field.
Averaging nearly 15 minutes a night, Bouyea averaged 1.8 assists, 1.8 rebounds and nearly a steal a game for the Suns, helping them reach the postseason.
Bouyea led Palma to three straight Gabilan Division undefeated league seasons, helping the program to a State Division IV finals appearance in 2016.
Bouyea left his stamp at the University of San Francisco, helping the program to its first NCAA tournament appearance in 25 years.
Undrafted in 2023, Bouyea was invited to the Heat’s training camp, where he spent his first season in the G-League at Sioux Falls, earning a spot on the All-Rookie G-League team.
