The Charlotte Hornets have not yet made a significant free agency signing.Charlotte was reportedly interested in signing veteran forward Tobias Harris.Harris ultimately signed a two-year, $31 million deal with the San Antonio Spurs. The Hornets still have a full mid-level exception available to use this offseason.

After trading away both LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges, the Hornets have yet to make a splash in free agency. However, that hasn’t been due to a lack of effort. According to HoopsHype, Charlotte was interested in signing 15-year veteran Tobias Harris away from the Detroit Pistons before he agreed to a two-year $31 million deal with the San Antonio Spurs.

Had he signed with the Hornets, Harris would’ve been a natural replacement for Bridges at forward and a proven scorer behind Brandon Miller, Kon Knueppel and Coby White. Although the quality of remaining free agents has dwindled, the Hornets still have a full mid-level available at their disposal this summer. Apart from restricted free agents like Peyton Watson and Bennedict Mathurin, Rui Hachimura and Jonathan Kuminga may be the strongest options available at forward.
