DETROIT – Forward Javonte Green is returning to the Detroit Pistons, agreeing to a one-year, $3.95 million contract.
ESPN Senior NBA Insider Shams Charania reported the news on Friday (July 3) on X.

Green appeared in all 82 regular-season games for Detroit last season, providing durability and reliable depth off the bench.
He averaged 6.9 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 17.6 minutes per game while making six starts during the 2025-26 season.
He also shot a career-high 38.1% from the three-point line, establishing himself as a dependable perimeter option in Detroit’s rotation.
Green contributed across multiple categories last season, including defense and high-energy plays, helping stabilize the Pistons’ second unit throughout the year.
Continuity a priority for Detroit this offseason
The Pistons have made continuity a priority this offseason as they look to build on last year’s roster structure and depth.
Detroit now boasts five players who shot above 36% from three-point range last season.
Former Michigan Wolverines star Duncan Robinson led the group at 41%, followed by new acquisitions Isaiah Joe at 42.3% and John Collins at 40.6%.
The Pistons also re-signed Kevin Huerter, who shot 36.8% from three-point range last season, adding yet another perimeter weapon to a roster quickly becoming one of the league’s most shooting-rich lineups.
