The Dallas Mavericks have strengthened their commercial portfolio after announcing a multi-year strategic partnership with JPMorganChase, naming the global financial institution as the franchise’s official jersey patch partner and official banking partner in a deal that combines premium sponsorship rights, fan engagement initiatives and community investment.

The agreement marks JPMorganChase’s first-ever NBA jersey patch partnership, underscoring the company’s continued expansion in the sports sponsorship sector while securing one of the league’s most prominent branding assets.

Beginning with the 2026-27 NBA season, the Chase logo will feature on the upper-left chest of all four official Mavericks uniforms and across retail jerseys sold through the club’s official merchandise channels. Beyond the uniform branding, Chase will receive year-round visibility at American Airlines Centre, including a dedicated Chase entrance for eligible cardholders, further integrating the brand into the team’s game-day experience.

The partnership also introduces a range of exclusive benefits for Chase customers, including preferred seating opportunities, ticket access, merchandise discounts, concession offers and premium hospitality experiences designed to deepen fan engagement throughout the NBA season.

Mavericks CEO Rick Welts said, “Partnering with JPMorganChase marks an important milestone for the future of the Dallas Mavericks. As an industry leader, Chase is at the forefront of superior client service, operational excellence and a winning culture – all principles we share. We look forward to working together to elevate our fan experience and create meaningful impact in North Texas for years to come.”

Peter Muriungi, South Region Market Leadership Team Chair and CEO of Digital Assets and Blockchain Solutions at Chase, added, “Today marks an exciting new chapter for Chase in Dallas. The Mavericks are one of the most recognisable franchises in sports, and we’re proud to partner with a team that brings people together across North Texas. As a longstanding member of the Dallas community, we look forward to creating memorable fan experiences, delivering value for our customers and investing in initiatives that help our communities thrive.”

Community impact forms a central pillar of the partnership. Chase will become the presenting sponsor of the Mavericks’ Business Assist programme, supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses through educational resources, networking opportunities and business development initiatives. The partners have also committed to building new community basketball courts across North Texas to expand access to safe recreational spaces and encourage youth participation in the sport.

For the Mavericks, the agreement adds another blue-chip partner to the franchise’s commercial ecosystem while enhancing one of its most valuable sponsorship assets. For JPMorganChase, the partnership provides a high-profile platform to strengthen its presence in the rapidly growing Dallas-Fort Worth market, where it serves millions of customers and a substantial small-business community.

The deal reflects the growing evolution of sports sponsorships beyond traditional branding, with financial institutions increasingly investing in integrated partnerships that combine marketing visibility, customer rewards, community programmes and long-term fan engagement.
