Sixers fans are hoping Philadelphia is LeBron James’ next stop.

“It would be huge. I mean, he’s one of the greatest of all time, if not the greatest of all time. And I mean, he’s still doing it at a high level at his age. I think it would mean a lot, and I think it would help our chances at winning a title,” said Corey Cope, Quakertown.

“When I first heard it, I didn’t really believe it. But now, once we got Jaylen Brown, I’m thinking maybe he’d wanna come to the Sixers. He could definitely win a ring here,” Marcus Makowski of Center Valley said.

The Sixers aren’t the only team in the running to sign the NBA All-Star for his 24th season.

The Cavaliers, Warriors, Heat, and Timberwolves are also reportedly in the race.

“I don’t know, I think there’s a good chance he could go to the Cavs, but the Sixers are definitely like number two, top three for sure,” said Makowski.

“I’d say probably about like 40 percent, ’cause I know, you know, he loves LA and he kind of likes to have a little bit of control over the team. And, you know, if he comes to Philly and he starts doing that, I don’t know how much the fans are gonna like that,” said Cope.

There’s no word on when James will decide his fate, but Philly fans say picking the City of Brotherly Love would do big things for the team and its fan base.

“The Sixers, it’s like kind of hard to like be excited for them and have hope for them. They haven’t been playing the greatest, but if we got LeBron, we just got Jaylen Brown, I’d have a lot of hope. I think a lot of people would be very excited,” said Makowski.Â
