The Milwaukee Bucks have emerged as a potential sign-and-trade suitor for Peyton Watson, joining the LA Clippers and Atlanta Hawks.

One of the top remaining restricted free agents on the market, Peyton Watson, has reportedly attracted another potential suitor.

According to The Athletic’s Tony Jones, the Milwaukee Bucks have emerged as a team interested in acquiring the Denver Nuggets forward through a sign-and-trade.

“The Milwaukee Bucks have emerged as a team potentially interested in executing a sign-and-trade for Watson,” Jones reported.

Milwaukee joins a growing list of teams monitoring Watson’s situation, including the Los Angeles Clippers and Atlanta Hawks.

“You can add them to a list of potential suitors that includes the LA Clippers, who are now in a holding pattern after their Kawhi Leonard trade with the Toronto Raptors was paused due to the NBA’s ongoing Aspiration investigation,” Jones wrote.

“The Atlanta Hawks, who recently declined a team option on Jonathan Kuminga, are also interested in Watson,” he added.

Watson was among Lakers’ top offseason targets

The Los Angeles Lakers have also been linked with Watson since last season, and speculation surrounding their interest resurfaced during Summer League.

Before the Lakers’ Summer League opener against the Oklahoma City Thunder, president of basketball operations Rob Pelinka was seen warmly embracing Watson and having a brief conversation with the forward.

The interaction quickly drew attention from Lakers fans, although it remains unclear whether it had any connection to the team’s reported pursuit of Watson.

The 23-year-old is coming off the best season of his NBA career, averaging 14.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. However, injuries prevented him from fully capitalizing on his breakout campaign.

Watson entered the offseason as a restricted free agent, meaning Denver can match any offer sheet he signs with another team.

The Nuggets have maintained that they would like to keep him, but a sign-and-trade could become an option if the two sides are unable to agree on a new contract.

With the Bucks, Clippers, Hawks, and Lakers all linked to Watson, his future remains one of the most notable unresolved situations on the market.
