Power forward Tari Eason is putting down roots with the Houston Rockets.
ESPN reported Thursday that Eason is re-signing with the Rockets on a five-year deal for $81 million.
The Athletic reported that the fifth year of Eason’s deal is a player option.
The deal was officially announced on July 9.

Eason, 25, has played for Houston since being selected with the 17th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft.
He’s averaged 10.4 points and 6.3 rebounds in 221 career games with the Rockets.
Eason started a career-high 34 games last season and averaged 10.5 points in 25.8 minutes played, and he shot 41.6% from the field.
Eason is a career 35% shooter on 3-pointers.
