Former Florida big man Colin Castleton participated in the NBA Summer League with the Orlando Magic.
The former Gator center started in all four appearances, showcasing why the Magic reinvested in him. Castleton provided much of the same things that earned him three All-SEC team selections, while showing much-improved floor spacing.
In Las Vegas, Castleton averaged 13.2 points and six rebounds on 61% from the field and 43% from the 3-point line, albeit on 1.8 attempts. His best performance of the summer came in an overtime game against the Portland Trail Blazers, where he contributed an efficient 21 points and seven rebounds.
Castleton spent his first two collegiate seasons at Michigan before transferring to Florida, where he became a three-time All-SEC selection and earned a spot on the All-SEC Defensive Team.
His performance in Summer League could translate to the regular season, as Castleton is expected to continue suiting up for both the Osceola Magic of the G League and the Orlando Magic.
