The 2025-26 NBA season didn’t go the way the Kings planned.

While their 22-60 record left much to be desired, the one light that the season provided – no pun intended – was the Beam Boys.

Rookies Dylan Cardwell, Maxime Raynaud, Nique Clifford and veteran Precious Achiuwa formed the group during the season and made home victories feel like a party – if only for a moment.

Heading into the 2026-27 season, Cardwell says there might be more in store — literally — when it comes to the Beam Boys.

“I had a shirt planned but I had to make sure we retained everybody for this upcoming year,” Cardwell told NBC Sports California’s Tristi Rodriguez during NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. “And now that we have everyone back officially, we will distribute our shirts among the Beam Boys and then hopefully talk to the merchandising people, and we can figure something out.”

“It’s a picture of the Beam Boys after one of our games, all of us posed with our glasses and it’s the stadium behind us and a huge beam and it just says ‘Beam Boys’ across the top. It’s like a graphic tee, but it’s pretty cool,” Cardwell told Rodriguez.

The energy that the rookies and Achiuwa showed last season won Kings fans over in real time and the bond the team formed was apparent in Sacramento.

Heading into next year, the team will hope for an improved season with many more beams being lit.
