The Miami Heat, Denver Nuggets and Cleveland Cavaliers are interested in DeMar DeRozan, according to Shams Charania of ESPN.
DeRozan is a free agent after being waived by the Sacramento Kings.

DeRozan spent the past two seasons with the Kings. He averaged 22.2 points per game during the 2024-25 season and put up 18.4 points per game last season.
A six-time All-Star, DeRozan has career averages of 21.1 points per game with the Toronto Raptors, San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Bulls and Kings. He’s been in the NBA since 2009.
The Heat, Nuggets and Cavaliers were all linked to LeBron James, who wound up signing a two-year, $8 million contract with the Philadelphia 76ers. It will be fascinating to see where DeRozan is playing next season. He turns 37 on August 7. The USC product has career postseason averages of 21.8 points per game with the Raptors, Spurs and Bulls.
Miami acquired Giannis Antetokounmpo from the Milwaukee Bucks this summer. The Heat missed the playoffs last season.
Denver is the only NBA team in the second apron. The Nuggets lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the 2026 playoffs.
Finally, after missing out on James, Cleveland signed Mario Hezonja. The Cavaliers lost to the New York Knicks in the 2026 Eastern Conference Finals in four games.
