OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (KOKH) — The Oklahoma City Thunder is offering free educational programs for Oklahoma classrooms ahead of the upcoming school year.
Oklahoma schools can register for STEAM, reading and literacy programs, the Thunder Book Bus and classroom grant opportunities.
The Thunder said last season educational programs reached more than 700 teachers and 37,000 students. The Thunder also gave away more than $20,000 to classrooms across the state.
Programs include the Devon Thunder Explorers, Thunder Reading Challenge, Thunder mAth Hoops, Rolling Thunder Book Bus, and the Devon SportsLab.
Tickets are also now on sale for the Oklahoma City Blue Field Trip Day games, combinding basketbll with STEM, on Nov. 10, Feb. 25, March 3 at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, and Jan 27 at the BOK Center in Tulsa.
