The Dallas Mavericks have a generous proposal for whoever finds Cooper Flagg’s rookie debut patch autograph card.
The 1-of-1 Topps card was officially released on Thursday, somewhere out there, and the Mavericks are fully admitting: They want it.
The team put out a post on social media on Thursday, offering up a “bounty” in exchange for the finder of the card to hand it over to the team.
“The Cooper Flagg Rookie Debut Patch Autograph Card is officially out there,” the post says. “If you have it, we want it. Claim the bounty. Good luck!”
The bounty, stated in the post, is as follows:
— Two Mavericks season premium lower-level tickets for 32 years
— A Flagg-signed game-worn rookie jersey
— A postgame photo with Flagg
— A VIP tour of the Mavericks practice facility with a team meet-and-greet
— Private basketball experience for up to 10 guests at American Airlines Center
— Road trip experience to see the Mavericks vs. the Boston Celtics, including roundtrip airfare, hotel accommodations and game tickets.
As one user noted, perhaps predictably: That might be more than they got back in the Luka Doncic trade.
The team lists some caveats on its website, like what happens in the very possible scenario that the person who finds the card is under 18, and, perhaps most notably: “The card’s market value may exceed the market value of the experiences to be offered.” That’s presumably the decision to be made when the finder is considering the Mavs’ offer, and largely depends on how the career of the 19-year-old Flagg unfolds.
Just in case, though: The card is white and gold featuring Flagg’s image and his autograph next to the actual patch he wore on his jersey the night of his NBA debut. There’s only one of them in the world, out there somewhere.
